Eileen Corse

"Artist,Eileen Corse, is accomplished, both as an artist and as a businesswoman,"Lesley Long, collector. "Think the pool paintings of David Hockney, done in a painterly, choppy and impressionistic style that harkens back to the impressionists. There’s something utterly contemporary about the bathing-suit-clad figures Eileen Corse paints".  (Featured in The Scout Guide) Corse began following her passion for painting just over a decade ago and has accumulated quite a following for her bold, flowing paintings.  Painting impasto and alla prima, Corse's paintings are alive with movement.  Her most recent series, Water, includes a grouping of paintings of people at the beach or pool.

Statement:
"I am a self-educated artist.  I have been featured in many juried and local group shows, as well as in articles by local newspapers and magazines, as well as National art publications, such as American Art Collector, Plein Air Magazine, Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine, Southwest Art Magazine and Artist Advocate magazine. I have been asked to judge several local, regional, and national juried exhibitions and shows, including the renowned RayMar Art's contest and the Woman Painters of the Southeast members' show.  It is always a challenge to choose the best among many great paintings. I have had the pleasure of starting a not-for-profit organization for women painters.  Women Painters of the Southeast is now a group of over 700 artists in just four short years.  As founding member, president and CEO, I am proud to say that we have awarded over $60,000 in cash and prizes within the past four years.  As time goes on, I am so thankful to God for all the blessings He’s bestowed upon me, and only hope I can manage to do some little thing in return
